What is spatial audio?
With spatial audio, you hear the volume of people's voices dependent on their distance from you, just as you would in real life. Spatial audio not only makes for a more immersive, realistic experience, it also aids comprehension, matching your brain’s expectations for how you receive audio in a natural environment.
Troubleshooting:
Q: My browser is not supported / I cannot use my mobile device
A: Hubbub is a web-based application. It works on browsers that support WebRTC. It works best on the latest desktop Chrome.
Q:There is echo in the room
A: Echo may occur if a participant is not wearing headphones. You can ask participants to mute their mic when they are not speaking.
Q: My camera, microphone or sound is not working
- Check that your volume is not set at 0.
- Check you are not muted and that you have allowed microphone and camera permissions.
- Click on the "Settings" button at the top to select a different input/output audio/video device.
- If you are still having problems, try restarting your browser or your machine.
Q: I am wearing headphones but not hearing spatial audio
A: Check that you are using a wired headset. Bluetooth headsets may not produce spatial audio.
Q: I can't see or hear people
A: Try quitting your browser and relaunching, then trying again.
You may be behind a firewall that blocks Hubbub audio and video. Please ask your network administrator to contact us at heyhubbub@gmail.com for firewall whitelist.
